Hello! My name is Anna I am a queer neurodivergent Licensed Professional Counselor in Arizona. I am passionate about working with people who have been othered by society.
Before going to school to become a counselor I worked as an advocate for people who had been sexually assaulted. I would meet and stay with patients at the hospital to ensure safety and understanding during their exam and interview. My first job as a counselor was working in reentry with people who had been imprisoned. Working in reentry I gained a lot of experience with complex trauma, addiction, dual diagnosis, guilt, shame, and relationship skills. I left this job due to irreconcilable moral issues with the prison system. Working in private practice I have continued to work with people who have been incarcerated as well as growing my expertise in gender diversity, autism, and couples counseling.
My goal is to ensure that you have a place where you can express yourself without feeling judged for who you are, the things that have happened to you, or the choices you have made. You can learn more about my approach to therapy under the counseling tab.
