Gender Health Evaluations

You do not have to be an ongoing counseling client in order to request a Gender Health Evaluation.

Your evaluator has been trained through the Gender Health Training Insitute to perform Gender Health Evaluations. The evaluation will consist of a full biopsychosocial evaluation. Depending on your needs, this evaluation can take 1-3 sessions. During your evaluation, you will be asked to discuss: the evolution of your understanding of gender, previous medical interventions, social support system, substance usage, history of intellectual disability, neurodivergence, understanding of your chosen procedure, and post-surgery plan.

As mental health professionals our role is not to state whether you should or should not receive medical intervention, we are purely assessing for capacity to consent to medical intervention. Participating in an evaluation does not guarantee a letter will be provided. If it is determined that there are contraindications to medical care / lack of capacity to consent you will need to address the areas of concern before a letter can be provided. This can be done through additional counseling services with your evaluator or an outside therapist. Once the issue is resolved and capacity for content is established you will receive your letter.

$150 per evaluation session

$150 documentation fee to be paid before the letter is released
